Stacie Sherman
Stacie Sherman is an accomplished journalist with more than three decades of experience that encompasses reporting, editing, newsroom leadership, and academia. Her extensive career is characterized by a genuine passion for storytelling and a steadfast commitment to journalistic excellence.
After 28 years at Bloomberg, Stacie shifted her focus to covering disability issues, driven by her personal experiences as the mother of two children with special needs. This unique perspective allows her to understand the challenges and inequities faced by the disability community while also appreciating its moments of extraordinary beauty and resilience. Her mission is to share powerful stories that advocate for change and illuminate experiences that are often overlooked.
In addition to her work in journalism, Stacie has contributed her knowledge as an adjunct college professor, where she has influenced the next generation of journalists. She is also a published author, with her book, My Broken Road: the tangled and twisted musings of an autism mama, released in May 2024. Stacie shares personal reflections on her blog, Brielle’s Voice, where she continues to inspire and connect with others.
Stacie’s expertise has made her a sought-after guest on television and at panel discussions, where she contributes to conversations on media, business, and advocacy. Her work has garnered numerous accolades, including awards from the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists, the 5K Hero Award from Eden Autism, and recognition as one of Insider NJ’s Top Media Personalities and ROI-NJ’s Women in Business Influencers. In 2024, she was honored with the prestigious New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s Woman of Inspiration Award.
Beyond her professional achievements, Stacie served on the board of Eden Autism for two terms and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists. She holds a Master of Science in Business Journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The College of New Jersey. Stacie currently lives in Eastampton, New Jersey, with her husband and daughter.
